Perth event transport and chauffeur hire

Perth's biggest venue sits on the far side of the Swan River from the city it serves, and on a full house that river crossing decides your evening.

What makes event transport in Perth difficult

The defining feature of Perth event transport is the river. Optus Stadium sits at Burswood on the eastern bank while most hotels, restaurants and offices sit in the CBD and West Perth, so a stadium night funnels a very large crowd across a small number of bridges and the Matagarup footbridge. The crossing is short and the queue is not. Meanwhile RAC Arena sits inside the city grid itself, which means an arena show and a CBD dinner service compete for the same streets at the same hour, and the two problems need different plans.

Perth's second issue is distance. Guests frequently travel from Cottesloe, Claremont, South Perth, Scarborough or the Swan Valley rather than from a nearby block. We quote a fixed fee in advance against a written run sheet with no surge pricing, and a named chauffeur and specific vehicle class stay committed to your movement.

Third, the late wrap combines with those distances. A stadium event that finishes at ten-thirty puts a Cottesloe or Swan Valley group thirty to forty minutes from bed, and a race day at Ascot runs on well past the last event. Hourly and as-directed hire, with the chauffeur staged on the correct side of the river or clear of the arena block, means the group walks a short distance to a waiting vehicle at the agreed pickup point.

Events we move guests to in Perth

Major sporting fixtures

AFL, cricket and international fixtures at Optus Stadium, where the entire crowd leaves across a handful of river crossings at once. We plan the outbound leg from a staging point on the side of the river that suits your destination, so the exit follows the agreed meeting plan.

Music and festivals

Arena tours at RAC Arena inside the city grid, stadium concerts at Burswood, and outdoor and parkland events through summer. Encore finishes, crowded footpaths and no phone reception make a pre-agreed, well-lit meeting point essential rather than optional.

Corporate functions and galas

CBD and Elizabeth Quay ballroom dinners, Kings Park function venues with sweeping city views, and resource-sector events that fill a room in fifteen minutes. Staggered arrivals, a discreet sedan for the host and keynote, and Sprinters returning tables of guests together.

Awards nights and premieres

Industry awards and theatre and premiere evenings across the city and the Perth Cultural Centre, where the drop-off kerb is short and shared. A single vehicle held for the night with a named chauffeur, and access arrangements confirmed per venue in advance.

Conferences and expos

Multi-day programmes at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre beside the river, with morning hotel-to-venue waves, speaker movements between sessions and evening dinner transfers, including out to the Swan Valley when the social programme heads that way.

Race meetings and carnivals

Ascot and Belmont Park through the racing calendar, both on the eastern side of the river near the airport corridor. Long afternoons, formal dress and finishes that drift well past the last race make hourly hire with a nominated return the right shape of booking.

Perth venues and precincts

Perth's venues sit on opposite sides of the Swan, and arrangements differ sharply between a Burswood stadium night and a city arena show. Drop-off zones, access points and staging areas are confirmed per venue and per event.

Optus Stadium, Burswood

On the eastern bank of the Swan, with much of the crowd arriving and leaving on foot across the Matagarup footbridge or by rail. Vehicle access close to the stadium is managed on event days, so we set a perimeter drop-off and place the pickup on the side of the river that suits where you are going next.

RAC Arena

Inside the city grid on Wellington Street, which makes it easy to reach and hard to leave, because the arena empties into streets already carrying CBD evening traffic. We stage a block or two clear and have the chauffeur in position before the final song.

Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre

On Mounts Bay Road beside the river at the western edge of the city, with drop-off points that differ by hall and entrance. Delegate waves and public exhibition traffic can share the precinct, so arrivals are staggered against the published programme.

Ascot and Belmont Park racecourses

Both sit east of the river in the airport corridor, roughly ten to fifteen minutes from the CBD outside peak. Carnival days bring local traffic and parking management, and guests in formal dress do not want a long walk, so the confirmed drop-off zone and the return timing are agreed in advance.

Kings Park

Function venues and open event spaces on Mount Eliza above the city, reached by a small number of park roads that can be arranged or restricted for events. Parking near a venue fills fast, so we agree a specific drop-off and a nominated pickup point rather than circling the park.

Price a Perth event movement

Send us the venue, the guest numbers and the timing, and we quote a fixed fee against a written run sheet — no surge pricing on event nights.

Fleet and seated capacity

Executive Sedan

1–3 seated

The default for a couple or a small party arriving at a gala, premiere or corporate function. Discreet, quiet, and the easiest vehicle to place in a constrained drop-off zone close to a venue entrance.

Luxury SUV

1–4 seated

More cabin space and a higher seating position, with useful luggage room for camera cases, garment bags, instruments or gifts. A common choice for talent and speakers moving between a hotel and a venue.

Mercedes-Benz V-Class

up to 7 seated

Walk-through cabin with captain seats, so a small group of colleagues or friends travels together and arrives together rather than in two separate cars on two separate timings.

Mercedes-Benz Sprinter

up to 11 seated

The workhorse of event nights. One vehicle, one arrival, one chauffeur to coordinate with, for a full table of guests, a support crew or a conference delegation moving as a unit.

Minibus / Coach

12–21 seated

For a delegation, a wedding party attending an event, a corporate table or a touring group. Loading takes longer than a sedan, so staging is planned into the run sheet in advance.

Groups above twenty-one run as a multi-vehicle convoy under one booking reference with a nominated lead chauffeur, so the whole party has one arrival time, one point of contact on the night and one invoice rather than a set of unrelated bookings.

Why event transport is booked ahead

No surge pricing, ever

A sold-out night at Optus Stadium, an arena tour date or an Ascot carnival day is quoted on the same basis as a weekday airport run. No event multipliers, no demand loading, no repricing — the quoted fee is the charged fee.

A vehicle committed in advance

Perth is spread out. Booking ahead allocates a specific vehicle class and a named chauffeur against your run sheet, rather than leaving a Cottesloe or Swan Valley group hunting for a car at Burswood.

Hourly and as-directed for uncertain finishes

For fixtures that can run long, shows with an encore or a race day that drifts past the last event, hourly hire keeps the vehicle and chauffeur staged on the right side of the river. You walk a short distance to a waiting car at the agreed pickup point.

Our vehicles are registered commercial passenger vehicles with Safe Transport Victoria and the equivalent regulators in each state, driven by accredited chauffeurs, and carry AUD $20,000,000 third party liability per vehicle under comprehensive motor insurance. Every movement has a named chauffeur and a 24/7 operations line behind it.

Perth event transport, answered

How far ahead should I book event transport in Perth?

For a midweek corporate function a few days is usually enough. For a sold-out fixture or concert at Optus Stadium, an arena tour date at RAC Arena, an Ascot carnival day or a major convention-centre programme, book three to four weeks ahead. Sprinters and coaches should be booked earlier so the required vehicle can be allocated.

What happens if roads around the venue are closed on the night?

Access around Optus Stadium at Burswood, the RAC Arena block and Kings Park is arranged per event and differs between events at the same venue, so we confirm the arrangements for your date. Your run sheet names an agreed drop-off point and a separate pickup point, and the 24/7 operations line repositions the chauffeur and tells you where to walk if conditions change.

Do your prices go up on event nights in Perth?

No. There is no surge pricing, no event-night multiplier and no demand loading. The fee is quoted in advance against your run sheet and held, whether that is a quiet weekday transfer or the Saturday night of a sold-out stadium fixture. Waiting time and additional stops are charged only where the accepted quote set them out.

How large a group can you move to a Perth event?

Seated capacity runs from an Executive Sedan for one to three and a Luxury SUV for one to four, through a Mercedes-Benz V-Class for up to seven and a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter for up to eleven, to a minibus or coach for twelve to twenty-one. Groups above twenty-one run as a multi-vehicle convoy under one booking reference with a nominated lead chauffeur.

Will the chauffeur wait during the event or come back later?

Either. A theatre performance or seated dinner with a known finish suits a return leg at a nominated time. A stadium fixture, a concert or a race day with an open finish suits hourly and as-directed hire, where the vehicle and chauffeur hold a staging position on the appropriate side of the Swan so there is no wait at the end.

What if the event finishes much later than expected?

On an as-directed booking the vehicle simply stays with you, however late the finish. On a nominated-return booking, one call to the 24/7 operations line moves the pickup time. Because your chauffeur is already allocated to your movement, a late finish at Burswood does not mean waiting for a car to be dispatched from across the river.

Can you collect guests from several different addresses for one event?

Yes. Multiple pickups across the CBD, South Perth, Cottesloe, Claremont, Scarborough and out to the Swan Valley are built into one run sheet with a time against each address. Given Perth's distances, one vehicle looping the addresses is often better value than several cars converging separately.

Can event transport be billed to a corporate account?

Yes. Event, conference and resource-sector movements can be charged to a corporate account with an agreed written rate card, cost-centre or purchase-order coding against each movement and a consolidated GST invoice rather than card payments on the night. Accounts are opened through our accounts line on +61 497 114 819 or the corporate accounts enquiry form.
